For CPAs, controllers and finance teams
Your clients are going to ask about AI. Be the one who already knew.
A new lesson every weekday on what AI is doing to accounting and finance, built from this week’s actual news. Not a course library someone wrote in 2019.
Ten minutes. Two questions. Your NASBA credit lands in your dashboard.
Publishing since June 2025
A new one every weekday
Written by one person, not a content team
NASBA-approved nano learning
The last five lessons
Every lesson we’ve published is right here, dated, in the archive.
The beat
Four tracks, one point of view: what’s changing, and what a finance professional should do about it.
AI & Technology
The main beat. Agents, evals, governance, vendor risk, token economics and what each one actually changes about how the work gets done.
Markets & Economics
The numbers behind the headlines (private credit, purchase obligations, CPI prints) read the way someone who builds the schedules would read them.
Practice & Profession
What’s happening to firms: PE consolidation, staffing models, liability, and the shift from people-heavy to tech-first.
Accounting, Audit & Tax
Rulings and rules as they land. Explained through the case that made them matter, not the code section.
How ten minutes works
1. Watch
A ten-minute video on something that happened this week, with the slides and the sources attached.
2. Answer
Two questions. Get both right and you’re done. No timed exams, no retake penalties.
3. Filed
Your certificate generates automatically and logs to your CPE dashboard. Export the whole history any time.
And it counts.
Every lesson is NASBA-approved nano learning: 0.2 CPE credit, a certificate generated automatically, logged straight to your dashboard. Most providers lead with this. We put it here because it’s the byproduct, not the point. You’d want to know this stuff whether or not it earned credit.
State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses. Nano learning is accepted in most states; we don’t currently offer ethics.
One plan. No surprise tiers.
Today’s lesson is free to everyone, every day. The subscription buys the archive and the record.

Questions
Is this a replacement for my regular CPE provider?
Usually not, and we’d rather say so. At 0.2 credits a lesson we’re the daily habit; your bulk provider handles the annual volume and the ethics requirement. Most subscribers run both.
What makes a lesson “this week’s news”?
Every lesson starts from something that actually happened. A ruling, a deal, a research paper, a data print. Then it works back to the accounting or finance principle underneath it.
Who writes these?
Brion Flick, founder of Flick Labs. Master of Accounting from TCU and seven years at PwC working on automation, governance and training. One person, one point of view, every weekday.
What are the free episodes?
Every day we release a new episode and it’s free to access on the day it’s released. After that, you can subscribe for just $10/month to unlock unlimited access to all episodes and CPE content on the site.
Are your courses NASBA approved?
EverydayCPE is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. For the list of states who’ve approved nano-learning please check this link.
Do your courses cover ethics, fraud, or other subject areas?
We cover most of the core NASBA categories, but we currently do not offer ethics or other topics that require additional state-level approval. Please check with your state board if you’re unsure about specific requirements.
What happens if I fail the quiz? Can I retake it?
Each course includes two quiz questions and you must answer both correctly to receive credit. If you don’t pass, simply rewatch the video and retake the quiz. There’s no limit on retries.
I signed up and paid $10/month, but I’m no longer interested. Can I cancel?
You can cancel your subscription at any time in your membership menu (person icon in the top right). Reach out to team@everydayCPE.com if you’d like help or are interested in a potential refund.
